Communicating craft, expertise and artistry

Reproduction Plaster Company are Scotland’s leading experts in the repair, restoration, design and fitting of ornamental plasterwork. Everything they do is manufactured in custom-built premises, from where they undertake the restoration of any ornate plasterwork, bespoke ornate plaster details and the supply and fitting of an extensive range of ornate plaster products.

A family company, their expertise has been largely limited to the Central belt of Scotland, with excursions further afield when projects demanded it. The Digital Age recently undertook a project which has transformed how Repro Plaster present their craft.

Insight

Research and feedback from customers suggested that Repro Plaster were perceived as manufacturers of plasterwork, rather than a company of skilled professionals with artistic knowledge and skilled work.

It was important to demystify the art of ornamental plasterwork by showing the quality of design and that the work produced is made by hand.

Idea

We repositioned the brand in order to communicate craft, expertise and artistry behind their work. The website demonstrates their work with the use of video that showcases the careful craft involved in the manufacturing and fitting of ornate plasterwork.

To further enhance their profile UK-wide and make their products more accessible to the general public, we developed the e-commerce system so customers can purchase bespoke cornice and ceiling rose products for their home renovation projects.

The e-commerce website is further enhanced with the use of case studies from Repro Plaster, which showcases a blend of some high value commercial work, such as Trump Turnberry, as well as home design and repairs.

Impact

Since launch, the e-commerce system has transformed Repro Plaster's internal sales process with the integrated CRM. We have seen sales increasing through the website with an extended UK-wide market.
